The new Metropolitan Hotel, formerly Loews New York Hotel, kicks off
this Valentine's Day Package complete with a rock of a ring and all
the elements needed to set the mood for those ready to pop the question.
For duos who are already hitched, or not looking for a commitment,
a fun loving Sexy Lexy package will also be unveiled during Cupid's
week.
The Metropolitan Hotel's Ultimate Proposal Package, priced at $13,000,
starts with the most important element of an engagement, the ring.
Featured is a $10,000 diamond engagement rock of the groom-to-be's
choice. To set the mood for the big question, the hotel provides
everything needed for the "ultimate proposal" including a deluxe room
for one night, two dozen long-stemmed roses, strawberries with a bottle
of Don Perignon for dipping and sipping, scented candles, romantic
music, silk sheets, lingerie and a camera to capture the moment.
Dinner for two at a New York restaurant of their choice is an essential
part of the package and might set the stage for the proposal or a
post celebration. The hotel's love-conscious concierge will arrange
reservations and any other props such as a handsome cab ride through
the park, tickets to a show and much more, needed to create the setting
for the big question night. Also included is a one night pre-stay
at the Metropolitan Hotel for the bridegroom to pick out the ring
and to a run through the planned program.
If she says yes, Metropolitan's Ultimate Proposal Package will include
airline miles, a one-night stay a year later to celebrate and long
distance phone calls (up to $30) to tell friends and family the good
news. For the blushing bride helpful extras such as a wedding planner
book and, a year subscription to a bridal magazine will point her
in the right direction. If she says no, the Metropolitan will exchange
the $10,000 engagement ring for an all-out tropical getaway to help
the rejected recover.
For those not ready to pop the big questions, or who can handle the
details themselves, Metropolitan is offering a less inclusive package,
the Sexy Lexy, named for the hotel's signature drink, which also kicks
off Valentine's Day. Included is one-night accommodations, fresh
flowers, champagne and a candlelight dinner for two at the hotel's
restaurant, the Lexington Avenue Grill for $399.
